CoPAC is a unit specifically set up for conservation related initiatives. We have institutional commitment to Participatory Approaches and Best Practices in Programme and Project Management. The institutional base of CoPAC is SOMA. Please visit SOMA.

CoPAC can use SOMA's institutional systems and expertise needed for effective Programme and Project Management in conservation.

CoPAC is led by K V Sreenivasan. After his medical studies, he specialised in Psychiatry. However, after a short stint in Psychiatric practice, he along with some associates started SOMA in 1992. From 1996 to 2007, Sreenivasan worked as consultant in a variety of assignments. His principal clients are Department for International Development (DFID) and UNAIDS. He has a wide range of experience of working with both National and State Governments for programmes and teaches Governance and Management of Programmes as visiting faculty. His client list includes UN agencies (e.g. UNICEF, UNDP). He is keenly interested in conservation and has been associated as a volunteer in conservation related work.

Sreenivasan has served as Principal Consultant in state level and national level initiatives.

CoPAC will draw upon the expertise of SOMA team members as and when necessary. CoPAC is governed by the same board as SOMA governing board. Please see more information on SOMA team.

Each programme / project is managed by teams specifically constituted for the purpose. Systems needed for each initiative will be fine tuned according to the nature of the initiative.
