The mission of Centre of Participatory Approaches in Conservation (CoPAC) is to strengthen conservation efforts through Participatory Approaches in Governance and Management of Programmes and Projects.

In effective conservation work, there is a confluence of contributions from technical domain specialists, political sector, resource mobilisers, legislators, administrators, citizens, local population and many other sources. We believe that we can facilitate the best possible synergies between the various factors that are needed for success in conservation.

We have institutional strength in Participatory Approaches for Governance and Management of programmes and projects. We have used these strengths across a variety of domains of work from 1992 and have provided services in 15 states of India.

Conservation and other domains of work are increasingly using Participatory Approaches. CoPAC uses a Results Based Management Framework for programmes and projects.
